Kent Homes Stays Focused On Quality Over Quantity
Kent Homes has prided itself on its customer attention and satisfaction. At Kent Homes, we’re big enough to serve you well, but small enough to give you the personalized attention and choices you deserve in your home. As the market heats up in North Carolina many builders go for quantity and build hundreds of homes a year, but Kent Homes stays focused on its customers and builds less than 100 homes a year. Kent Homes is more concerned about insuring its customers get their homes built right while having the most satisfying homebuilding experience in the industry. While 2015 has seen tremendous growth in new home sales due to overall economic growth and low mortgage rates, 2015 has also seen a shortage of workers and tradesmen in the construction industry. Even though there has been an increase in construction job growth overall, locally and nationally, there is still a shortage of labor due to the increase of new home starts combined with the lack of available qualified workers. Many trade contractors exited the market during the last housing recession and they have not returned to the industry as it improves. This has left the housing industry with a shortage of workers that has been taxing for builders around the country. You can read more about this here.
Kent Homes has been working closely with their trades in building and maintaining relationships to stay ahead of any long lead times to keep home schedules on track. With brisk sales in 2015, the Kent Homes start schedule is already full through March. So as not to sacrifice quality, Kent Homes has decided to limit the number of home starts in 2016 compared to in years past. This way, Kent Homes can keep on delivering great homes to their customers!
